What does "climate change" really mean?
"Climate change" is the phrase leftists chose to replace "global warming"?
For them, "climate change" includes about 77 years of climate history, since 1940, plus a strong belief in a coming climate catastrophe, whose arrival date is always well in the future.
Their 'vision' of climate change becomes nearly impossible to believe when the details are explained in plain English.
My definition of "climate change" below is based entirely on what the global warmunists say climate change means to them, converted to my simple language.
I am not making anything up -- I couldn't make up anything so bizarre by myself.
"Climate change" does not require a science degree to understand -- in fact, if you had a science degree, you'd wonder why anyone would believe such a fairy tale.
I have a BS science degree, and assuming that means anything at all, it means I recognize junk climate science when I see it.
My summary of "climate change' below is what the global warmunists claim -- I hope you find it impossible to believe, as I do:
4.5 billion years of global warming and cooling
(mainly cooling and declining atmospheric CO2 levels):
(a)
Natural climate change for 4.5 billion years,
Global cooling from 1940 to 1975:
(b) 1940:
Natural climate changes stop,
(c) 1940:
Man made 'aerosols' suddenly dominate the climate,
Global warming from 1975 to 2000:
(mainly in the 1990s):
(d) 1975:
Man made aerosols suddenly 'disappear',
(e) 1975:
Man made CO2 suddenly dominates the climate,
Flat average temperature trend from 2000 to 2015:
(f) 2000:
Man made CO2 goes on temporary hiatus
('on vacation'?),
Global warming in 2015 and 2016:
(g) 2015 / 2016:
Natural “El Nino”
(cyclical Pacific Ocean heat release)
dominates the climate,
The climate from 2017 forward is assumed to be runaway global warming, stated with great confidence:
(h) 2017:
Global warming expected to return,
with man made CO2 expected
to be dominating the climate again,
(i) 20xx:
Runaway global warming becomes unstoppable, and
(j) 2xxx:
THE END (of all life on Earth)
