Last week we had
what I hope is the last snow
of this cold southeastern
Michigan winter.
After 42 years of "global warming",
since 1975, this winter started with the
coldest three consecutive weeks
I've experienced in over 40 years
living in Michigan -- the last two weeks
of December, and the first week of
January 2018.
Then the winter returned
to "normal", whatever that is.
The wife unplugged her heated bird bath
at the end of March, but the water has
frozen every night since then, because
it got cold again in late March and early April.
In fact, the first night that doesn't go
below freezing is supposed to be later
this week, and I can't wait.
Where is that global warming
when you need it, and want it ?
Below are pictures my wife took
from inside our house
in late March showing
our "friends" drinking from
the heated bird bath.
Although we live in the northern
Detroit suburbs, only five miles
north of Detroit's northern border,
there are more deer than ever.
We have had up to 14 deer
standing in our yard at one
time!
Usually just two to four deer,
but only half of them
seem smart enough
to drink from
the heated bird bath:
