This blog is a public service
for people who want to understand
the fairy tale of catastrophic man made
global warming -- a false boogeyman
used to demonize fossil fuels.
Fossil fuels are inexpensive, dense
sources of energy, unlike expensive,
taxpayer subsidized, intermittent
energy sources such as 'wind mills'
and solar cells.
Adding carbon dioxide to the air
is beneficial because CO2 is
greening the Earth,
and accelerating green plant growth.
If CO2 causes any warming, which is an
assumption that can't be proven with any
laboratory experiment, then that's
good news too.
The warming
from carbon dioxide
would be at night,
in cooler, drier areas
such as the northern half
of the Northern Hemisphere,
( which has had
nighttime warming ).
Places where night time
warming would be celebrated!
The southern half
of the Southern Hemisphere
should also have
significant warming,
but that has not happened.
Our planet has been warming
for 20,000 years,
since the last peak glaciation.
Sea level has risen
about 400 feet since then.
At least 399 feet
of the 400 foot rise
can not be blamed on CO2.
The strangest thing about the
"global warmunists"
is that their
climate fairy tale
requires people to believe
4.5 billion years
of natural climate change
suddenly ended
in the 20th century,
and from then on
climate change was
controlled by humans!
They never bother to explain
how that could have happened,
or why, but if you doubt them,
then you are a "climate denier",
unworthy of debate.
I've been reading
about climate change
since 1997,
and am still surprised by
how little real science
is involved in the demonization
of carbon dioxide.
Climate change is mainly
left wing politics intended
to give governments
more power over energy use
... meaning more control
over the private sector.
