New Climate Junk "Science" Presented at the 24th Conference of Parties (COP-24) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Poland

The 24th Conference 

of Parties (COP-24) 

of the United Nations 

Framework Convention 

on Climate Change 

       (UNFCCC) 

was in Katowice, 

Poland. 

The convention 

seemed to be 

most concerned 

about a transfer 

of wealth, 

from rich nations

to poor nations,

to help them 'fight' 

climate change.

The convention 

was supposed to 

focus on developing

specific rules 

and targets,

to implement

the voluntary 2015 

Paris Agreement.

The 25,000 delegates only

adopted vague generalities 

and promises to do more. 

UN Secretary General, 

António Guterres, 

did not even bother 

to attend.

A special 

report,

titled "SR1.5",

was issued 

by the IPCC 

in October 2018, 

leading up to 

COP-24. 

SR1.5 

deviated 

from the

IPCC Fifth 

Assessment 

Report 

     (AR-5, in 2013),

which is the latest 

full IPCC report.

But no evidence 

was presented

to support the 

significant change.

Because junk science

never requires evidence !

Working Group I, in the 

IPCC Fifth Assessment,

had written: 

‘It is extremely likely 

that more than half 

of the observed increase 

in global average 

surface temperature, 

from 1951 to 2010, 

was caused by 

the anthropogenic 

      ( man made )

increase in 

greenhouse gas 

concentrations, 

and other 

anthropogenic 

forcings together.’

There is no 
real science 

behind the 
above statement

-- carbon dioxide 

could have caused

anywhere from 

0% to 100%

of the warming 

since 1950.

"More than half" 

is the IPCC 

wild guess.

No one knows 

the "right answer".

But even if the

"right answer" 

was that CO2 

caused 100%,

the global warming

since 1950, and

that warming rate

continued indefinitely,

the result would only be

mild, harmless warming: 

 Only +1 degree C.

of global warming, 

over the next 200 years,

( with CO2 levels growing by 2ppm per year )

( ppm = parts per million )

In 2013, the IPCC 

did not blame

100% of the 

post-1950 

global warming

on human emissions 

of greenhouse gases.

in 2013, the IPCC

did not blame 

any of the 

1910 to 1940

global warming 

on human emissions

of greenhouse gases.

But SR1.5,

in 2018,

blames ALL 

global warming,

since the late

19th century,

on humans !

That's an

unproven 

proclamation,

which is 
a symptom

of junk science.

SR1.5 is not real science

-- it is pure junk science!

Concerning real science:

 Most climate science 

is not known with certainty,

and may never be known

with certainty in our lifetime.

We do know 

the dominant 

greenhouse gas

in the atmosphere 

is water vapor.

When air rises and cools, 

the water vapor in it 

condenses into clouds, 

which significantly affects 

the greenhouse properties 

of the atmosphere.

Quantifying the effects 

of clouds in the atmosphere

is beyond the capability

of current (real) science. 

That's one 

of the many reasons

that climate models 

      ( computer games )

make such wrong 

predictions.

Relatively small changes 

to parameters of the

global climate models,

can lead to 

large changes 

in the predicted 

global warming rate,

in response to increasing 

levels of greenhouse gases.

Modelers "tune" their models 

to reproduce the observed 

20th century warming.

The problem with that

is nobody knows 

what really caused

20th century warming!

Modelers also use 

a climate sensitivity

to CO2 number

that was 

wild guessed 

in the 1970's, 

and never changed.

It should have changed !

Because using 

that number 

has caused

climate models 

to predict that

global warming 

was going to be 

2x to 3x faster 

than what

actually 

happened

since 1975 !

Three decades 

of wrong predictions,

yet the modelers 

keep using that

wrong number 

first guessed

in the 1970's,

( doubling CO2 level 

will cause about 

+3 degrees C.

in spite of the

wrong predictions 

that make it obvious

the number is wrong !

SR1.5

represents 

a significant 

ramp up

of prior IPCC 

junk science,

with no attempt 

to explain,

even with

junk science,

why CO2 

scaremongering

has been 

ramped up.

The UN's IPCC knows

fellow leftists will accept

anything they say,

and anything they predict, 

without questions.

And skeptics will be 

character attacked,

and then claimed to be 

unworthy of debate.

That's how junk science

is used to control people.

"Climate change "

consists of 

99% junk science,

supported by 

computer games

that make 

wrong predictions !

There is 1% real science

-- simple lab experiments

       ( Infrared spectroscopy )

suggesting CO2 should

act as a greenhouse gas

in the atmosphere,

and cause mild, harmless 

global warming

( much less warming 

than the UN's  IPCC 

has predicted since 1988 

... and still predicts today ! )
