The global warming causes unusually bad weather myth

Greenhouse gas warming
should most affect the poles,
and least affect the tropics.

That pattern happened in the Northern
Hemisphere, but not in the Southern
Hemisphere.

The reduced temperature differential
between the Arctic and the Tropics,
after 1975, should result in milder
Northern Hemisphere weather.

Let's consider good and bad
weather records in the US.

Were there more bad weather records,
and fewer good weather records, after
global warming began in 1975 ?

Actually,
just the opposite happened.

Bad weather records
were set long ago and
good weather records
were set after 2005 !

U.S. Hurricanes:
   Worst:
August 27, 1900
Galveston, Texas
Over 6,000 Americans died
from the combination of
high winds and tidal waves.

   Best:

the 48 contiguous states
between 2005 and 2017,
a record.

Landfalling hurricanes ranked by wind speed:

U.S. Tornadoes:
   Worst:
March 18, 1925
Missouri, Illinois and Indiana
The "Great Tri-State Tornado
touched down in Ellington, MO,
and then covered 219 miles.
747 Americans died.

   Best:

the 48 contiguous states
in 2018, a record.

Snow  Blizzards
   Worst:
