The Zombie Australian Great Barrier Reef -- Always "Dying", but Never Dies !

INTRODUCTION:
I expect habitual
scare-mongering
about the state
of the coral reefs
to continue for
another 60 years.

I expect that scientists
will continue to mislead
about the state of the
Great Barrier Reef,
and about the future
global climate,
about which
they have made
wrong predictions
for over 60 years !

THE  GREAT  BARRIER  REEF:
OBSERVATIONS  VERSUS
COMPUTER  GAMES  (MODELS)
When it comes to
'green" junk science,
and counterproductive
investments in 'green'
energy, Australia is
one of the worst
offenders in the world.

Once in a while there is
unexpected common
sense from an Australian
government official.

The Great Barrier Reef
is not dead, is not dying,
and is not even on "life support",
according to Australian
federal Environment Minister
Susan Ley, after her first
official visit to the
World Heritage-listed site.

Her conclusion
is not based on
a computer model.

It's is based on
a snorkeling trip
to Moore and Flynn reefs,
offshore from Cairns.

Ms. Ley spent three days
touring the coastal area
around Cairns, speaking
to farmers, tourism bodies,
and reef scientists.

Ms Ley's observations:
“Today we saw coral
that was struggling
but we also saw coral
that was coming back,
that was growing,
that was vibrant."

“We saw
amazing wildlife,
fish, turtles, clams."

"We saw a reef
teeming with life."

“It gives me
heart and hope
that the future of this
magnificent part
of the world
is a good one.”

Ms. Ley said there
had been areas
struggling from the
impact of cyclones,
but overall conditions
were better than she
had expected.

“I was expecting to see
dead areas with a few
patches of life,”
Ms Ley said.

“I saw the exact
opposite to that.”
