The belief that future
climate change
can only be
bad news,
is dumb.
That's why I call the gullible
climate alarmists "Dumbocrats" !
We've had global warming
since the late 1600s.
Total warning since then
is roughly +2 degrees C.,
with one degree before 1880,
and one degree after 1880.
Estimates before 1880 are
based on real time
temperature records
from Central England,
using the 1670 to 1700
average as a start point.
Climate change
and carbon emissions
since then have been
100% good news.
Plants see significant
improvement in growth
with higher CO2 levels.
Greenhouses commonly
increase indoor CO2 levels
to 1,000 to 1,500 ppm, and the
temperature to 80 F., or higher.
That's much higher
than atmospheric CO2
levels near 400 ppm,
and the average surface
temperature of Earth
is about 59 F.
CO2 increases photosynthesis.
NASA satellites confirm the Earth
is significantly greening, with
2 million square miles of green
leafy area added to the world
each year, as measured
by satellites.
CO2 increases plant
fresh-water efficiency,
so with increased
CO2 levels, plants
produce the same
with less water
required, or produce
more with the same
amount of water.
Per the EPA,
the average U.S.
growing season
has increased
by 14 days
since the beginning
of the 20th century.
Higher temperatures from
climate change also lead to
increased precipitation.
Precipitation has increased
about 5% in the U. S. since 1900.
Increased precipitation leads to
better crop productivity.
Hydrocarbons provide reliable,
steady, cost-efficient energy.
Wind and solar do not.
Natural gas has a higher
thermodynamic efficiency,
produces less nitrogen
oxides, less sulfur oxides, and
fewer particulates than other
common power plant fuels.
When green energy fails to deliver,
a simple cycle natural gas plant,
operated by propelling hot gas
through a turbine to generate
electricity, may take only 10-15
minutes to reach maximum capacity.
The Earth is always changing.
And so is Earth's climate.
If it's getting warmer,
that's good news.
If it's getting colder,
that's bad news.
