The Maldives islands were supposed to be the 'canary in the coal mine" of global warming sea level rise -- underwater by now -- WRONG AGAIN -- the climate alarmist climate prediction "batting average" remains at zero !

The Maldives
are 192 islands,
spread over 90,000
square kilometers.

This Indian Ocean
island nation has
120 resorts and
400+ guest houses.

Over one million tourists
visit the Maldives annually.

The Maldives have
a multi-billion dollar
tourism industry --
which is their main
economic activity.

The pictures
at the end
of this article,
show a
huge amount
of real estate
investment,
by people
who obviously
don't believe
sea level rise
is a big risk.

There are already
11 airports there,
including three
international
airports.

Five new airports
will come into operation
by the end of this year.

Transport minister
Aishath Nahula
told local media
about construction
of airports
on the island of
Kulhudhuffushi
in Haa Dhaal atoll,

Until recently,
Haa Dhaal was
the only atoll
in the Maldives,
which did not have
a tourist resort.

That changed in March
2019 when Hondaafushi
Island Resort became
the first resort to open
on the atoll.

An international airport
in Maafaru is part of a
joint Maldives-UAE project
to develop Noonu atoll
as an ultra-luxury tourism
zone.
