When I was a liberal

When I was a liberal, 

in the late 1960's, 

and early 1970s, 

we did not trust 

the government.

We favored 

free speech.

We believed 

everyone 

was entitled 

to their 

own opinion, 

but not to

their own facts. 

We certainly hated 

the Vietnam War, 

and presidents who 

fought that 

losing war, 

but we still loved 

our freedom, 

and our country.

Today, in the U.S.,

liberals are 

a dying breed 

-- replaced by 

"progressives", 

socialists and 

Marxists -- 

as a group, 

I call them 

"leftists".

Leftists ONLY trust 

the government.

Leftists reject 

free speech

 ... unless you 

agree with them, 

otherwise 

they claim 

you're spouting 

"hate speech".

That means 

everyone 

is NOT 
entitled 

to their 

own opinion.

And they 

seem to hate 

the United 

States too.

The only people 

IN THE WORLD, 

outside of Iran, 

who protested 

the killing of the 

top Iranian terrorist,

killed INSIDE IRAQ, 

after he organized 

an attack on the 

US embassy in Iraq, 

were American leftists !

MSNBC initially

reported that

30 Americans 

had died

in the Iranian 

counter attack, 

with glee,

even though

the truth was 

that no 

Americans 

were injured.

Only horrible people 

would favor a vicious

Muslim terrorist. 

Unfortunately, 

leftists also believe 

they are entitled 

to their own "facts".

That's been obvious 

to me since I began 

reading about 

climate science 

in 1997.

Their predictions 

of climate doom 

were always 

junk science --

pure nonsense, 

not real science.

More recently: 

In the past 

three years, 

the imaginary 

"Trump collusion 

with Russia", was

reported as reality !

Most leftists 

still believe 

that fake news.

Many leftists 

believe Russia

caused Trump 

to win the 

2016 election, 

in the absence

of any evidence 

to prove that.

Leftists live 

in their own 

fantasy world, 

where they 

invent their 

own "facts", 

and 
no evidence 

is required 

to justify 

their factoids, 

beyond their

statement:

"Because

we say so.".

Always angry 
leftists will 

ridicule and 
harass people 
who are 
equipped 

with real facts, 

that they use 
to refute 

the imaginary 
leftist "facts".

For a leftist,
ridicule and
character 
attacks 
ARE
"debate".
