Why Do Kids So Easily Believe Climate Nonsense ?

"You don’t really
understand yourself
as an individual,
you understand
yourself as part of
something bigger".
Khaled Hosseini,
 The Kite Runner

People are
attracted
to a cause,
greater than
themselves.

That's the appeal
of conventional
religions, and
charities ...
and also being
a member of
a sports team,
or the military.

Climate alarmism
is usually 'sold'
as the greatest
"cause" possible:
'Saving the planet
for the children’.

Of great
concern
to me is the
rising tide
of child and
young adult
depression,
and
hopelessness,
created by
leftist adults,
about a
completely
imaginary
coming
climate
crisis:
that's
always
coming,
but never
shows up.

And we've
been waiting
for that coming
climate crisis
since the first
predictions,
in the late 1950s !

"The most powerful
motivator of all, is fear."
Robert Evans Wilson

Unfortunately,
young people
are being
brainwashed,
to have a high level
of climate fear:
  The existential fear
that 'saving the world'
may not be possible.

What we’re seeing
in the past few years,
is an emotionally
driven wave of
environmental
hysteria.

Being told the world
will end in 12 years,
invokes an emotional
response.

Without a
conventional
religion,
with a God,
or some other
higher power
to submit to,
people are
attracted to
an "alternate
religion"
to validate
their existence.

Such as the
climate change
cult, and their
demonization
of fossil fuels.

People
like to be
"validated"
by like-
minded
people
around
them.

The climate
change cult
provides
a "cause",
and peers
to approve
of your
beliefs.

The cult
includes
some rich
and famous
people, who
virtue signal,
and then fly to
climate conferences
on their private jets !

"The person
who talks most
of his own virtue,
is often the
least virtuous."
Jawaharial Nehru

It seems that
that victimhood
is the new virtue
for leftists.

We hear
that from
high school
dropout,
thundering
Ms. Greta
"12 years left"
Thunberg,
who lectures adults,
with a condescending
tone, and a really
mean look on her face:
“You have stolen my future”.

And Thunberg
is from a country,
Sweden,
that would benefit
from global warming !
