Greta Thunberg
is getting her own
TV show on the BBC,
as announced at the
recent BBC Showcase
trade show.
The 17-year-old
high school dropout
will travel around
the world, lecturing
everyone for their
pollution, except
the world's largest
polluters - India
and China.
The BBC's science
division announced:
“The series will follow
Greta’s international crusade,
which takes her to the
front line of climate change
in some of the most
extraordinary places
on earth, as she explores
what actions could be taken
to limit climate change
and the damage it causes.
As she travels Greta meets
not only leading scientists
but political leaders
and business
heavyweights,
exploring the
scientific evidence
with them and
challenging them
to change.
The films will also
charts her own journey
into adulthood
as she continues
to be confronted by
the real world
consequences
of inaction;
and will share
some of the
quiet moments
as she writes
the impactful speeches
that are now broadcast
and analysed
around the world,
as she lives
a teenage life
like no other.”
Greta already
has had a
professional
film crew
"following
Thunberg
from her
early school
strike in
Stockholm
all the way to
parliaments
and massive
international
protests"
for a documentary
on HULU,
tentatively
titled 'Greta',
set to air in 2020.
Did Greta's
famous parents
- opera singer
Malena Ernman,
and actor
Steve Thunberg,
use their industry
connections to
prepare their daughter
to become a celebrity ?
RT noted
in December 2019:
"Her rise has been
meticulously
choreographed,
her school strike
made famous
on its first day
by Ingmar Rentzhog
of the climate change
social network
‘We Don’t Have Time.’ "
Rentzhog was already
friends with Thunberg’s
parents.
