Update 2-- Hundreds of millions of locusts descend on farm fields and cities

Links to prior articles:

As COVid-19
hits China,
East African
countries
are being
swarmed
by locusts.

They travel
in swarms
of millions
that can
measure
up to
40 miles
wide !

Somalia, Kenya,
and Ethiopia
are hardest hit,
so far.

Many communities
in east Africa are
entirely reliant
on their local
food supplies.

Mega-swarms
devour crops
at an incredibly
rapid pace.

The only
solution
for the
east African
governments
is dangerous
pesticides.

But the locusts
are already
jeopardizing
the food supply,
and could push
agricultural-based
economies into
a lack of food
crisis.

The UN Food and
Agricultural Organization
is reportedly mobilizing
an emergency response.

So far the locusts
are "winning".

I wish thgat
I could report
good news.

If locust
swarms
are ever
coupled with
a COVid-19
breakout
in Africa,
then parts of
the continent
could be
in great danger.
