Climate Change Polls -- Almost no one cares now

In a December 2019 Harris Poll, American adults said climate change was the number one issue facing society, believe it or not. I find it hard to believe myself. With COVID-19, Americans don’t care about climate change much anymore.

Now climate change is next to last on a list of one dozen issues, just ahead of overpopulation. Over one third of Generation X men believe climate change is unimportant. In UK polls, the peak age of believers is 30 to 50 years old, which includes a lot of Gen Xers.

COVID-19 changed priorities. After the pandemic is controlled, American adults say they’ll drive more, and take public transportation less. And even bicycle and walk less.

This must be very upsetting to the "greens". A I have written here before, people always publicly stated they "cared" about climate change, but were always unwilling to sacrifice much income to "fight" it. I said the support was one mile wide, but only one inch deep. With COVID-19, we are seeing that now.
