On December 31, 2020,
to celebrate 71,000
page views, I gave a 71 minute
speech. At the conclusion, the
audience awoke, and stumbled
toward their cars. ...
Modern climate "science"
ignores three fundamental rules
of real science:
(1)
Real science is never settled,
(2)
Real scientists are always skeptical,
so they know a consensus means nothing
in real science, and
(3)
Minority views are never "debated"
with ridicule and character attacks.
The mainstream media have provided biased, anti-science environmental alarmism since the 1960s.
We are told the global average temperature and the atmospheric CO2 concentration were 'perfect' in the "pre-industrial" times (around 1750).
Even though the global average temperature and carbon dioxide concentration in 1750 are guesses, not from real time measurements.
Even worse, people living in 1650 to 1750 thought it was too cold.
But never mind them.
What could they possibly know about the climate they lived in ?
Climate Reality:
Our climate has been getting better since the late 1600s. during the coldest decade of The Little Ice Age, during the Maunder Minimum period of low solar activity.
We do not have accurate global average temperature data before the use of weather satellites in 1979.
Since 1979, one of the biggest changes to the climate has been warmer winter nights in the northern half of the Northern Hemisphere.
And the warming after 1979 was mainly during the coldest six months of the year.
And mainly at night.
That's good news for the few people living there.
Climate alarmists only want you to know one number -- the global average temperature.
That number is a statistic, not a temperature that anyone lives in.
The global average temperature has been intermittently rising since 1979 ... and since the 1690s ... and for the past 20,000 years too (starting when Canada was covered with ice).
There was a flat temperature trend from 2003 to mid-2015.
I consider mild warming to be good news.
Especially here in southeastern Michigan, where we live.
The climate alarmists call the mild warming since the 1970s an "existential" climate crisis.
One of us is wrong.

Was able to outrun N.Y. police
two times to avoid radar
trap speeding tickets,
and one time it was a

that Michigan
did not get more
global warming !
