Typical climate alarmist claim:
"Science indicates a coming climate emergency".
My response:
Scientists don't "indicate" anything.
They have spent most of the past 100 years proving, with no doubt, that they have no idea what the future climate will be like.
They spend most of their time coming up with false explanations.
Trying to explain why almost all of Earth's history does NOT have changes in CO2 that caused changes in temperature, because the opposite has happened.
And trying to ignore 4.5 billion years of natural climate changes, with no influence of man made CO2 until the twentieth century
And trying to explain away most of the climate changes in the 20th century (1910 to 1940 global warming, and 1940 to 1975 global cooling) that contradict the 'CO2 is the temperature control knob of our planet' belief)
So, in 4.5 billion years of Earth's geologic history, only 45 years, from 1975 through today, had both CO2 and global average temperature moving up with a strong positive correlation.
But correlation is not causation -- meaning that correlation does not prove CO2 caused any of the mild, harmless warming in the past 45 years.
It is a reasonable assumption that adding CO2 to the atmosphere caused some global warming, but an assumption is not proof of anything.
Virtually all of Earth's 4.5 billion years of climate change can not be claimed to be caused by CO2.
Yet there were times in Earth's history with no ice at the poles, and other times when Canada was completely covered by a thick ice glacier.
So, as real scientists try to explain the past climate changes, we have climate alarmists claiming that scientists can predict the future climate.
And never mind that they've been wrong so often in the past.
Because now they have a magic decoder ring, and they can see the future!
