The root cause of climate change junk science is indoctrination in the Appeal to Authority logical fallacy taught in almost all American schools.
The result is a belief in the Rule of Government “Experts”.
Whatever they say is assumed to be true.
Reinforced by penalties for not “believing”, such as ridicule, character attacks, cancellation, etc. … and censorship of contradictory information
by the mass media and social media.
Once you believe “the experts”, the subject does not matter.
You believe all the “official” COVID claims.
You believe Trump Russia collusion.
This can happen to people who attended college in the 1960’s and 1970s, pre0indoctrination too.
Even people who have high IQs, and should know better.
The primary problem with climate computer models:
Computer models “predict” whatever their owner’s want predicted.
Governments want predictions of rapid, dangerous global warming.
Governments pay for, and get, predictions of rapid, dangerous global warming.
The model predictions of rapid, dangerous global warming, support earlier pre-model predictions of rapid, dangerous global warming, that i trace back to oceanographer Roger Revelle in 1957.
There have been about 40 years to refine the computer models for better predictions.
But, In fact, the current CMIP6 computer models appear to over predict global warming by even more than the prior CMIP5 models.
The one model that least over predicts global warming is the Russian INM model.
Yet It gets no attention, and is merely binned together with all other less accurate CMIP models to get an average.
It is obvious that accurate climate computer predictions / projections / simulations arte not a goal.
The climate models are programmed to scare people about the future climate.
Government scientists with complex models, and big computers, impress many people.
I’m not one of them.
To me, climate models are nothing more than computer games that consistently over-predict global warming, because that's exactly what governments pay the scientists for.
