What Global Warming?

There has been no increase in the average atmospheric temperature for at least 12 years (University of Alabama at Huntsville atmospheric calculations), up to 18 years (Remote Sensing Systems atmospheric calculations, and Hadley-Climatic Research Unit surface calculations).
.
Over 50 theories for the temperature plateau have been proposed by leftists -- of course the possibility that global warming has stopped is not one of them.
.
The huge number of theories demonstrates that scientists have no idea why the late 1970s to late 1990s warming happened, or why it stopped.
.
Not one computer model predicting the future temperature had included a period with a temperature plateau, much less a 12 to 18 year plateau.
.
Few "warmists" even know about the plateau -- they don't bother reading their own "climate bible" (UN's IPCC Summary Report), where the lack of warming is called a "pause" -- a word specifically selected to confuse people, and imply the IPCC "knows" warming will continue in the future (of course that's their wild guess, not a fact).
.
The big lie about a coming climate change catastrophe continues whether the average temperature of Earth is rising, falling, or steady.
- A relevant quote:
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

A cause of climate change
ignored by climate models,
simply because it can't
be blamed on humans:
When the sun is quiet (few sunspots), a weaker solar wind allows more cosmic rays to reach Earth's atmosphere, ionizing various nuclei, which promotes cloud formation.
.
More clouds in the sky block more sunlight, making Earth cooler, and also promoting more rain and snow.
.
When the sun is active (lots of sunspots), a stronger solar wind pushes more cosmic rays away from Earth's atmosphere, and there will be less cloud cover.
.
Fewer clouds in the sky block less sunlight, making Earth warmer, and also promoting less rain and snow,
.
The effect of cosmic rays on cloud formation is not just an unproven theory.
.
Does "average temperature mean anything?
.
The planet seems to have two basic climate conditions: A glacial state, and an interglacial state.
.
During each of these states there's some climate variability.
.
Earth is never in thermodynamic equilibrium.
.
Since local temperatures are always changing, an average of all local temperatures may not have any meaning.
.
The average temperature of Earth has been roughly measured since the late 1800s, so the 4.5 billion prior years are unknown.
.
No one knows what a "normal" average temperature is.
.
The  concept of a "normal" average temperature actually makes no sense for a planet not in thermodynamic equilibrium.
.
No one knows how to interpret tiny changes in the average temperature -- they are probably random variations that should be ignored.
.
Tiny changes in the average temperature since the late 1800s have been extrapolated into computer game projections of a coming climate catastrophe.
.
Predicting a catastrophe is a many centuries-old strategy used by government and religious leaders to gain more power over the people (private sector) -- they scare people with a boogeyman, knowing that scared people tend to want their government to seize more power in a valiant effort to fight the dreaded boogeyman.
.
What few people realize is the boogeyman is just a fantasy that will never hurt anyone -- just a well-told fictional story.
.
The coming CO2-caused climate change catastrophe is a well-told fictional story used by leftists to gain more political power -- it has nothing to do with real science (predicting the future climate using computer games is not even science!).
.
Prior environmental boogeymen, all immediately forgotten after they stopped scaring people, included acid rain, the hole in the ozone layer, and many others, in the past 55 years.
