CO2 chemical method vs. ice core proxy method

The chemical method (Pettenkofer) real time CO2 measurements correlate well with average temperature (red and blue lines on chart) during the hot 1930s.

The ice core proxy CO2 measurements are very different, have no correlation with the hot 1930s, and the line (gray) is too smooth to be believed.
