Thank you for viewing this blog,
where I summarize
my climate change reading.

I've been reading about this subject at least once a week since 1997, and still don't know what the future climate will be.

Nor does anyone else.

I can state with confidence that CO2 levels do not control the average temperature, and it would be denying science to claim they do.

In ice core proxy studies, CO2 levels follow temperature changes with a lag of  hundreds of years -- they do not cause temperature changes.

There is no evidence CO2 levels have ever controlled the average temperature.

There are some simple lab experiments attempting to prove CO2 is a 'greenhouse gas'.

Those experiment suggest, but don't prove, a one degree C. increase in the average temperature would happen if actual CO2 levels doubled, which would take at 200 years at the current CO2 growth rate of 2 ppm a year.

Doubling CO2 levels would accelerate green plant growth, which would be very beneficial.

Assuming the lab experiments applied to the Earth, then a one degree C. increase of the average temperature spread over 200 years would probably be too small for anyone to notice during their lifetime.

I'm sorry if I have ruined your exciting "runaway warming from CO2 is gonna' end all life on Earth" fantasy, but that was my goal.

When politicians are involved, you can be sure there will be lots of lying ... and politicians are HEAVILY involved in the coming runaway warming scam.
