The Oceans & ENSO (El Nino Southern Oscillation)

The oceans are,
71% of our planet's surface.

They are slow to heat,
and slow to cool,
compared with the land,
so oceans moderate,
climate changes,
(both warming trends,
and cooling trends).

The main source,
of ocean heating,
is ultraviolet solar radiation.

Oceans hold 99.9%,
of all the stored heat,
on this planet,
(of the total heat stored in the air,
and in the oceans, combined)

That means there is,
1,000 times more,
stored heat in oceans,
than in the atmosphere.

Atmospheric temperatures,
go up and down,
in correlation with,
ocean temperatures.

Heat that went into the oceans,
in the last century.
may still be coming out today,
with natural, cyclical
El Nino** heat releases,
from the southern Pacific Ocean.
(**ENSO, or El Nino Southern Oscillation)

We had a very strong El Nino,
in late 2015 and early 2016,
as shown below,
in a temperature chart,
of the southern Pacific Ocean:

The temperature,
of the tropical Pacific Ocean,
temporarily went up rapidly,
in late 2015 and early 2016,
by about +2.5 degrees C.,
and temporarily raised,
the global average,
by about +0.5 degrees C.,
just from that local heat spike!

Global warmunists,
love CO2 warming so much,
that they never mention,
when the cause of warming,
is a natural, temporary El Nino,
knowing the public will assume,
the cause was man made CO2,
since they have been brainwashed,
for almost 50 years,
to assume that nothing else matters !
