Climate Alarmist Myths -- More Hurricanes ?

U.S. Hurricanes
Landfall counts
are the most reliable.
counts.

The number of U.S.
landfalling hurricanes,
and major hurricanes,
has been on the decline
since the late 1800s.

In 2017, Hurricane
Irma was the first
landfalling hurricane ,
and major hurricane ,
in Florida since
Wilma in 2005.

This was
after a record
major hurricane
lull of 4,439 days.

The previous
record lull
  ( since 1851 )
was 2,191 days
from 1979
to 1985.

The most recent
             ( 2018 )
U.S. Government
analysis of the
36 most costly
hurricane disasters
in U.S. history,
showed increasing
damages are due to
increasing population
density, and having
more infrastructure
that could be damaged,

not due to storm intensity.
