The mainstream media provided five decades of biased, anti-science environmental alarmism. They never mention the past 325 years of intermittent global warming, since the late 1600s, that have been pleasant and harmless. We are also told the global average temperature and the atmospheric CO2 concentration were 'perfect' in the "pre-industrial" times (around 1750). Even though people living back then thought it was too cold. But never mind them. I thank the mainstream media for making this blog necessary.
The "climate crisis" consists of nothing more than "expert" PREDICTIONS, made by people whose prior forecasts have been consistently wrong for many decades. They have NO ability to predict the climate next year, much less in 100 years.
Meanwhile, our current climate is the best climate for humans, animals and plants, in hundreds of years, since the Little Ice Age centuries. Our planet is 'greening' from more CO2 in the atmosphere. Our climate is getting better decade after decade.
But leftists are never happy with the world. Their mysterious belief, that this libertarian can't figure out, is that only very powerful governments, staffed by fellow leftists, can improve our lives!
The greenhouse gas warming effect of carbon dioxide is assumed, and asserted, without scientific proof. Because there is no way to measure it directly. Simple lab experiments, using artificially dried air in a closed system, suggest CO2 ought to cause mild global warming. Nothing to worry about.
In real life, there are varying amounts of water vapor in the atmosphere, and water vapor is the primary greenhouse gas. The global warming effect of water vapor is expected to somewhat overlap the expected warming effect from CO2.
I can live with the ASSUMPTION that CO2 ought to cause mild global warming. But the claim that rising CO2 is an existential threat is leftist nonsense. Over 325 years of global warming so far has not harmed anyone.
Surface temperature "measurements" include lots of infilling (made up numbers), so are not accurate enough for real science. In addition, the global AVERAGE temperature is a temperature THAT NOT ONE PERSON LIVES IN. It is not a measurement. It is a statistic that obscures the most important climate change details: Since 1979, the most global warming has been in the northern (colder) half of the Northern Hemisphere, mainly during the coldest six months of the year, and mainly at night.
Think of warmer winter nights in Alaska, and you'll KNOW the claim of an existential climate crisis is baloney, malarkey, banana earl (Brooklyn, USA), and, in more scientific terms, a tall, steaming pile of farm animal digestive waste products. I do have a BS degree, so I know BS when I hear it.
