The area is to be designated as an industrial wind park zone.
The German state of Hesse’s largest contiguous forest area, known as the “treasure house of European forests” or “Grimm’s fairy tale forest, will become a for profit wind industry area.
The approval procedure for the first 20 wind turbines is in its final phase, the first out of perhaps 60 wind turbines planned on seven large areas.
