I've been following climate science, and the coming climate crisis fantasy, for 24 years.
Global warming policy is NOT based on climate computer models.
In my opinion, global warming government policy is based on the leftist desire to scare people.
They know scared people will demand that their government do something about a (imaginary) coming climate crisis.
A coming crisis is an opportunity to ramp up government power.
It does not matter if the crisis is real (COVID) or fake (climate emergency).
The strategy works if enough people can be convinced there is a coming crisis.
Since leftists always believe the government when it is controlled by fellow leftists, half the population almost automatically agrees with the coming crisis prediction.
Never mind that coming climate crisis predictions have been wrong for 64 years in a row, and the past 45 years of ACTUAL global warming, since the mid-1970s, has been mild and harmless,
Past climate reality does not matter -- the climate emergency is always coming, because "scientists say".
Alleged "expert" government bureaucrat "scientists" have been paid to predict a coming climate crisis for many decades.
And they get to play with expensive, complex climate models, so how could they be wrong?
Leftists always want more POWER, more MONEY to spend, and they especially LOVE telling people how to live.
They have invented a coming CO2 crisis fairy tale, to help them seize more political power, by scaring people about the future.
And with the Biden Administration, they are seizing power, and spending money, at unprecedented speed.
Creating fear of the future to control people is a strategy developed by religious leaders centuries ago, and is still used by religious leaders, and politicians, because it works.
The old fashioned fear of going to h-e-l-l, if you don't follow the rules, has now been replaced by leftists claiming Earth itself will become a h-e-l-l from climate change.
Both are unproven nonsense, in my opinion, but they can help control people.
There is a little science involved with the alleged coming climate crisis.
CO2 is a greenhouse gas.
Lab experiments suggest adding CO2 to the troposphere would slightly disrupt Earth's ability to cool itself -- to lose heat into outer space.
And a warmer troposphere would make the surface of our planet slightly warmer than it would otherwise be.
One big problem: Mild, harmless warming of the troposphere is no climate crisis.
So the leftists needed to multiply that expected warming in some way, and multiply they did.
They invented a water vapor positive feedback theory to triple the expected warming from CO2 alone.
The climate models were programmed using that unproven, and VERY likely to be wrong, theory.
Computers "predict" whatever they are programmed to predict -- they represent the personal opinions of their owners and programmers.
That adds up to an average computer game prediction of 100% more warming than actually happens.
The computer games are props to support predictions of a coming crisis, that began with oceanographer Roger Revelle in 1957.
The coming climate crisis is NOT based on the computer models -- it is based on a false water vapor positive feedback theory, contradicted by harmless global warming in the past 45 years, and 4.5 billion years of climate history.
If a water vapor positive feedback theory actually existed, it would cause runaway global warming.
Given that past CO2 atmospheric concentrations were up to ten times higher than today, runaway warming in the past would have ended nearly all life on this planet long ago.
Without that fake theory, climate models would predict mild harmless warming, exactly like we have had since the mid-19700s.
