Five More False Claims Made by Climate Change Scaremongers

FALSE  CLAIM  #6
Climate change
is causing snow
to disappear.

FACTS:
The eastern
United States
had 29 high impact
winter snowstorms
in the last 10 years.

No prior ten-year period
had more than 10.

Snow cover in the
Northern Hemisphere,
North America
and Eurasia,
has been increasing
since the 1960s,
in the fall and winter,
but declining,
in the spring and summer.

FALSE  CLAIM  #7
Climate change
is resulting in
accelerating
sea level rise,
as seen in
tide gauge
and satellite
measurements.

FACTS:
Computer models
project a
rapid acceleration
of sea level rise
over the next
30 to 70 years.

But data
from tide gauges,
in areas where the land
is not rising or sinking,
show a steady linear
sea level rate of rise,
of only 4 to 6 inches
per century.

Where the land
is sinking,
as in the
Tidewater area
of Virginia,
and the
Mississippi Delta region,
sea levels will appear
to rise faster.

The great Swedish
Oceanographer,
Nils-Axel Mörner,
has commented
on this extensively,
and his latest papers
confirm this
‘inconvenient truth'.

Alarmist claims that
“Satellites agree with
the model projection”,
are false.

Satellite technology,
and radar altimeter data,
lack the resolution
to accurately measure
sea levels down to
the nearest millimeter.

Initial raw data
from this
satellite technology
conflicted with
alarmists’ claims.

As a result,
an arbitrary
Glacial Isostatic
Adjustment (GIA)
was made,
falsely assuming
that ALL land
is rebounding from
long ago glaciations,
and oceanic basins
are deepening too.

This rebounding
is allegedly masking
the true sea level rise.

But alarmist's models
have failed to come close
to accurately predicting
the past 25 years,
so why should we trust
their computer model
predictions for the
next 25 years ?

FALSE  CLAIM  #8
Antarctic ice loss
is accelerating
due to
climate change.

FACTS:
Both the
East Antarctic
Ice Sheet
and the
West Antarctic
Ice Sheet
are cooling,
not warming,
and glacial ice
is increasing,
not melting.

There is some
local melting
of Antarctica
ice edges,
near sea water
located above
heat releasing
underseas
volcanoes.

Satellite Antarctic
temperature records
show -0.02C/decade
cooling since 1979.
( no warming )

The Southern Ocean
around Antarctica
has been getting colder
since 2006.

Surface temperatures
at 13 stations
show the
Antarctic Peninsula
has been cooling
since 2000.

FALSE  CLAIM  #9
Rising atmospheric
CO2 concentrations
are causing
ocean acidification,
which is harming
marine life.

FACTS:
This ocean
acidification
hypothesis,
offers a
second (false)
independent reason
to regulate
fossil fuel emissions.

But oceans
are very difficult
to measure, so
measured pH changes
are usually within
the margins of error
of the measurements.

And it is impossible
to draw sweeping
negative conclusions
about the reaction
of marine organisms
to slight
ocean acidification.

Scientific studies
usually demonstrate
the robustness of
multiple marine plants,
and animal species,
to ocean acidification.

FALSE  CLAIM  #10
"Carbon pollution"
is a health hazard.

FACTS:
“Carbon pollution”
is a lie --
CO2 emissions
are not dangerous
waste products
of fossil fuel
combustion.

Fossil fuels include
coal, oil, natural gas,
biofuels and wood.

Burning of fuels
is never
100% efficient,
so trace amounts
of real pollutants,
are produced:
fine particulates (soot),
hydrocarbon gases
carbon monoxide,
sulfur oxides,
nitrogen oxides
and other
real pollutants.

But ambient
air pollution
has been
decreasing
for decades,
except in China
and India,
which do have
serious local
pollution problems.
