"BS" is a technical term,
for a steaming pile of farm animal
digestive waste products.
I have a BS degree,
so I'm an expert
in BS detection !
"Climate Change"
( always meaning
the coming climate
change catastrophe )
is “special” BS,
in my opinion,
because
so many people
believe it, with
no proof, as if it
was a religion.
Government bureaucrats with
science degrees are used as props:
-- People with advanced degrees,
playing computer games
( complex computer models
that make wrong predictions ),
-- They make repeated scary
forecasts, year after year,
in spite of the fact that the actual
climate has been improving ,
-- The actual climate has been improving
for over 300 years, since the 1690s,
the coldest decade of the Little Ice Age,
which happened to be a period of low
solar activity ( the "Maunder Minimum" ).
When the global average temperature
fails to rise, the government bureaucrats
make yet another historical temperature
“adjustment”, to create "global warming"
out of thin air.
There's a lot of money being made from
climate change scaremongering,
through government grants, loans and
subsidies.
There’s a lot of political power to be gained
by ( falsely ) claiming you are “trying to save
the planet for the children”.
It’s all BS, with very little real science,
and the global warming so far has been
beneficial — “harmless”, if you want to be
a pessimist — but the BS seems to work
on many people.
It works on gullible people,
not smart people.
The coming global warming disaster
is something I trace back to Roger Revelle
in 1957 and 1958 -- an article on him
follows this one.
I know the BS didn’t get rolling very fast,
until 1988 — but that was over 30 years ago !
A 30+ year science fraud is amazing.
The "best" Republican BS was the alleged
weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.
In a few years people realized that was BS.
Most of the world still believes
that humans are causing climate change.
I do too !
The reason I do is that humans
ARE causing some amount
of climate change !
How much, no one knows.
The climate change since 1940
could have had 100% natural causes,
or 100% man made causes, or some
combination of the two.
Some combination of the two
seems like a logical assumption.
Let's start with the obvious
man made warming:
The Urban Heat Island Effect.
Cities are much warmer than the
surrounding countryside.
Bigger cities are warmer
than smaller cities.
Economic growth in the vicinity
of surface thermometers,
causes "global warming". that
has nothing to do with CO2.
Then move on to the haphazard
temperature measurements,
that are frequently “adjusted”
to show more warming
— adjustments are considered
global warming, whether they were
justified or not !
In 2015 a 12-year global warming “pause”
was magically “adjusted” away in one day,
with an arbitrary warmer oceans “adjustment”.
I believe that Roger Revelle launched
the coming global warming fraud in 1958.
It didn’t catch on with many people then,
but he created a now very popular scenario :
Scientists make scary predictions,
stated with great confidence, and then
apply for government grants to study
the coming bad news they predicted !
If you think about it,
the coming global warming
catastrophe consists of
continuous predictions
of bad climate news
... that never arrives.
There is no recognition that the predictions
have been wrong for over 60 years
( wrong for over 30 years, if you want to focus
only on wrong predictions from climate models ).
The wrong forecasts are never explained.
They are just repeated year after year.
If the measured warming slows down,
as it has after 2003, the climate scaremongers
become even more hysterical than they used
to be — and they’ve always been pretty hysterical,
about the future climate, in their overactive
imaginations ... trying to distract everyone
from actual historical temperature data,
showing mild, harmless global warming
that would not scare anyone !
