An "inconvenient" tree stump !

The photo below 
shows a tree stump.

It was radiocarbon dated 
at 5,000 years old. 

Located 100 km north 
of the current tree line
in Northwest Canada.

The area is now frozen tundra.

It was once warm enough
for a tree to grow there ! 


Past climate in that area 
was significantly warmer
than it is today, long before
fossil fuel global warming:
