North America's Bird Population Is Collapsing -- a real problem, completely unlike the imaginary coming climate crisis

Even more amazing
is no one has blamed
"climate change".

Probably because
wind turbines
are very efficient
"bird shredders",
and the leftists
who love wind power
don't want to remind
people about that fact ?

The theory at this blog
is that wind turbines
kill lots of insects,
which attract smaller
birds that eat insects.

Some of the
smaller birds
get shredded,
which attracts
larger birds
that eat the
smaller birds.

Then some of
the larger birds
get shredded too.

It's a mess !

A recent study said
North America’s bird
population has fallen by
“nearly 3 billion birds
since 1970"

Lead author Ken Rosenberg,
a senior scientist at the
Cornell Lab of Ornithology and
American Bird Conservancy
in Ithaca, N.Y., said:
We saw this
tremendous net loss
across the entire
bird community,”

“By our estimates,
it’s a 30% loss
in the total number
of breeding birds.”

“Multiple, independent
lines of evidence
show a massive
reduction in the
abundance of birds.”

“We expected to see
continuing declines
of threatened species."

"For the first time,
the results also showed
pervasive losses
among common birds
across all habitats,
including backyard birds.”

Pete Marra, another scientist
involved in the study,
said a number of bird species
“that were very common
when I was a kid” are among
those being hit the hardest."

"We can all talk through
the stories about there being
fewer and fewer birds,
but it’s not until you really
put the numbers on it
that you can really grasp
the magnitude of these results."

“We’re now seeing
common species
that have declined,
things like red-winged
blackbirds and grackles
and meadowlarks
— species that
I grew up with,
that were very common w
hen I was a kid.

That is the most surprising
and most disturbing part.”

Two of the largest factors
being blamed for this decline
are “toxic pesticides” and
“insect decline”.

Pesticides protect our crops
and lawns from insects.

Perhaps the decline
in the insect population,
from pesticide use,
is the main reason why
North America’s bird
population is collapsing ?

Rather than the pesticides
killing the birds directly ?

Pesticide use is something
to think about for humans too:
The Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention say:
“There are traces of
29 different pesticides
in the average
American’s body”.
