What does climate change really mean ? ... And why is it almost always predicted to be bad news in the future, when it was good news in the past ?

The average temperature
of our planet is a poor
way to describe the climate
that people actually live in !

Our planet is not in
thermodynamic
equilibrium, which is
physics talk for an
ever changing
average temperature.

No one has any idea
what a "normal" average
temperature is, because
"normal" makes no sense
for a constantly changing
climate.

Some "scientists"
have arbitrarily decided
that a very roughly
estimated temperature
in 1750 was "normal",
and any changes since
then are bad news.

In fact, based on my own
calculations, which took
20 years of work with
a slide rule and abacus,
the "perfect"global
average temperature
was on June 6, 1750,
at 3pm EST.

It's been downhill
for the climate
ever since then !
(heh heh)

My "June 6, 1750 joke"
was meant to be funny.

The other claim
that the year 1750
had an ideal climate
would also be funny
 ... if it was not
the primary
assumption
of the climate
change alarmists !

That assumption
is a true "PhD":
Piled high
and Deep
climate
science
nonsense.

The coldest period
in the past
10,000 years
was the 1690s --
so cold there were
famines in Europe.

1750 was still
a cool climate
 -- definitely not
an "ideal" climate.

The climate today
is warmer than
in the 1690s --
probably at least
+2 degrees C.
warmer -- and that's
VERY good news
for us !

For some reason,
there are many people
who can not sit back,
relax, and enjoy
our wonderful climate.

Earth's climate doesn't get
much better than today,
for humans and outdoors
animals.

Of course a few degrees
warmer would be great
for Michigan, where I live !

Roughly 10,000
years ago,
after the glaciers
covering Canada
had melted,
the temperature,
based on many
climate proxies,
was at least one
or two degrees C.
warmer than today.
(the Holocene Optimum)

Not that a degree or two
makes a big difference
for most people.

In fact, the warmer
our planet has been,
the more plant
and animal life
it has supported.

Think about
a past climate,
that was much
warmer, long ago,
with more CO2
in the atmosphere,
and huge plants
on the ground.

And there were
huge dinosaurs
to eat those plants,
and sometimes
each other !

Life thrived
on our planet
when it was
much warmer
than today !

If warmer is really
bad news, then why
do so many people
travel to warm areas
for their vacations ?
