Democratic Candidates’ Electric Car Mandates

Democrat candidates
in Iowa show their support
for our ethanol industry,
which supports up to
50,000 jobs in Iowa.

When they get
to other states,
these candidates
back energy
transportation
policies
that would
decimate
the domestic
biofuel industry.

The top candidates
want to ban cars
that run on gasoline.

Bernie Sanders and
Elizabeth Warren want
all transportation
to be electric in 10 years,
and would spend trillions
providing grants and
trade-in incentives
for families to switch
to electric vehicles.
             ( EVs )

There
would be
no new
gasoline
or diesel-
powered
automobiles
for sale
in America
after 2030.

So no new cars
could use biofuels,
such as ethanol
or biodiesel.

Pete Buttigieg plans
to phase out biofuels
with a 2035 electric car
mandate and expand
the multi-billion EV
subsidy program.

Joe  Biden wants
fuel economy standards
to require 100%
of passenger cars
to be zero-emission
( mostly electric vehicles )
and would resurrect
 EV tax credits
that benefit mainly
wealthy Californians
at the expense of
all other taxpayers.

There is
no room
for biofuels.

All Democrat
candidates
falsely promise
their transportation
plan will create
millions of jobs.

"Hidden Costs?"
Electric vehicles
require a charging
infrastructure
beyond the garages
of EV owner's home.

Especially in
rural areas,

EVs can lose
40% of their range
in very cold
temperatures
when driven
with the heater
set on the highest
temperature.

EVs charged on
a partially
coal-powered
electric grid
do cause
CO2 emissions.

Our local
electric utility,
DTE Energy,
gets about 64%
of their electricity
from coal.
