demands
for air travel.
China had a total
of 234 civil airports
at the end of
October 2019.
And plans to reach
450 by 2035.

will surpass the US by 2035,
and will be almost
one-quarter of the world’s
total flights.
Airports in China
managed 552 million
travelers last year.
The primary reasons
for more airports
are an expanding
middle-class.
India is planning to open
100 additional airports
by 2024, as part of a plan
to revive economic growth
in Asia’s third-largest economy.
The plan includes starting
1,000 new routes connecting
smaller towns and villages.

in the country
are also being
discussed.
