UK no longer a ‘wet and rainy’ country

So said the head
of the Environment
Agency.

More than 70%
of residents
perceive the UK
as a wet and rainy
country and believe
there's plenty
of water,
according to
a new report
supported by
Sir James Bevan.

In a foreword,
Sir James said that
perception was “wrong”,
despite the flooding
seen during recent
Storms Ciara
and Dennis.

Periods
of extreme
dry weather,
linked to
climate change,
are putting strains
on water resources,
with water demand
threatening to
outstrip supply
within 20 years,
Bevan claimed.

THE  TRUTH  STARTS  HERE:
Now back to reality,
moving away from
climate alarmism
fantasyland:
 Rainfall has been
increasing in the
UK since the 1970s.

Mainly due to
higher rainfall
in Scotland.

The long term
trend in England
has been flat.

2003 was the
last really dry year,
one of the ten driest.

Spring and summer
are traditionally
the driest seasons.

The UK is NOT
getting drier.

There is
no evidence
of extreme
dry weather.

Below are
the official
UK rainfall
charts
(maybe the
UK bureaucrats
should have
"adjusted"
their data,
before making
the false claim
that the UK
is not a wet
and rainy
country ! )

Leftists never
let contrary data
get in the way
of their climate
alarmism !

Note:
Twice in the past
11 years, the head
of the Australia
Bureau of
Meteorology
announced
that Australia
had entered
a new permanent
drought, due to
climate change.

Both pronouncements
were followed by
several wet years !
