Where to find me on Facebook and Twitter ?

 Nowhere !
I decided to limit the time I spent online after I retired in January 2005, at age 51. This decision was long before I found out Facebook and Twitter censor people and opinions that are not leftist approved.

My retirement goal was no internet use on four days of each week, which is why my blogs get new material no more than three days a week. This goal led to me to permanently avoid Facebook,Twitter,
and almost all online videos.

During the tedious, boring COVID-19 lockdown this year, I admit to going online via phone to get news for a half hour on each of my four internet "days off".  That helped me avoid biased news, fake news, bad COVID news, and President Trump bragging about himself, all featured on daily television news shows. My reason for permanently avoiding Facebook and Twitter was described much better than I could, by the brilliant comic writer Dave Barry:

Back in 2010, Dave Barry wrote:

"I can also use my phone to go to Facebook and Twitter to read messages and  "tweets" from a vast network of people I do not really know ... In the old pre-technology days ...the closest you could get would be to mail dozens of postcards a day to everyone you knew, each with a brief message about yourself like: "Finally got that haircut I've been putting off"... The people receiving these postcards would have naturally assumed that you were a moron with a narcissism disorder. But today, thanks to Facebook and Twitter, you are seen as a person engaging in "social networking" ".

(from page 60 of my paperback edition of "I'll Mature When I'm Dead", which is also my life philosophy, along with this advice from my favorite philosopher, Lawrence "Yogi" Berra: "If you ask me a question I don't know, I'm not going to answer."

Just 10 minutes of reading any Dave Barry book, especially those from the late 1980s and early 1990s, is an antidote to help forget about all the bad news on TV.
