Only a very gullible person would believe Earth has had natural climate change for 4.5 billion years, and then starting in 1940, all natural climate changes stopped, and suddenly ONLY manmade CO2 controlled the climate!
The truth is nothing unusual has happened to Earth's climate in the past 150 years.
Saying that will not get media attention, or government grants for further study … but climate scaremongering will.
Global warming is a left-wing political movement that claims to be based on science, but is not -- it is based on false scary predictions of a coming climate catastrophe, first made in about 1970 … predictions that have been wrong for 45 years so far.
The political goal is significantly increasing the power of central governments, which leftists love, through implementation of new energy taxes and EPA regulations to decrease the influence and profits of corporations, which leftists hate.
This political movement is based on a scary prediction created out of thin air by computer models that have no predictive ability.
The alleged coming global warming crisis is claimed to be caused by manmade CO2 added to the air every year, and has been predicted 45 times in the past 45 years … yet our climate today is better than ever.
The reason today's climate is better than ever is adding CO2 to the air is good news for humans -- more CO2 in the air accelerates the growth of green plants that people eat, and reduces their fresh water requirements, with little or no effect on the climate.
The mild warming we've had in the past 150 years is actually good news too
(less than +1.5 degrees F. warming, mainly during winters in the northern half of the Northern Hemisphere, whose few residents welcome a little warming, with a margin of error I estimate at +/- 1.0 degrees F.).
Half the mild warming since 1850 was before 1940, when the quantity of manmade CO2 added to the air was small, so CO2 was not the cause.
Whether or not the warming after 1940 was caused by CO2 is debatable -- but believers refuse to debate.
Believers refuse to debate because they don't know how to explain why rising CO2 levels 'caused' cooling from 1940 to 1976, and again 'caused' cooling from 1998 to 2015.
In June 2015, some leftist scientists who were increasingly angry because average surface temperatures had not increased in over a decade, finally lost control and arbitrarily "adjusted" sea surface temperature data to make that long global warming "pause" magically disappear.
They didn't bother adjusting NASA weather satellite data because they have long pretended those data do not exist (the satellite data are not even mentioned in NASA's annual "hottest year ever" press release, simply because they show 1998 was the warmest year since they were launched in 1979, and that fact contradicts the computer models).

Global warming catastrophe predictions are a political movement to gain power -- computer models and scary predictions are not even science -- the predictions are only political tools (lies) used to scare people into demanding that their government must act quickly to "save the Earth".
The truth is Earth does not need to be "saved".
In the 4.5 billion years of Earth's history, there is only one brief 22-year period, from 1976 to 1998, when both manmade CO2 and the average temperature of Earth increased, and that short-term correlation is not proof CO2 caused any of the warming.
Climate change is not a problem for humans, unless the average temperature Earth gets a lot colder -- cold weather affects human health … and if my home state of Michigan is ever under a mile or two of ice again, I'm in trouble because I can't ice skate.
