- CO2 is not an important factor in determining Earth's climate,
.
- Computer games can not predict the future climate, and
.
- Highly publicized statistics are too often made up out of thin air, such as '97% of scientists agree', or quietly "adjusted" to support the computer game projections.
.
(2) Explain basic climate science:
- Earth's climate is always changing,
.
- Earth has been significantly warming since the last ice age ended about 15,000 years ago, with the warming NOT started by CO2,
.
- Earth has been slightly warming since 1850, with the warming NOT started by CO2 (average temperature up less than +1.5 degrees F. since than, and much of that increase may be measurement error), and
.
- The average temperature of Earth is a complex statistic representing one point in time. It's not a simple measurement of something. Data are usually presented on misleading charts so tiny harmless changes of several tenths of a degree look huge and scare people.
.
(3) Explain that the false demonization of CO2 is a political strategy used by left-wing politicians to scare people and gain power. Their goal is for scared voters to demand / accept more central government control over the private sector, through new energy taxes and/or regulations, and
(4) Report actual climate data that are rarely reported in the mainstream press, who prefer to publish wild guess computer game predictions of future climate catastrophes, and left-wing character attacks on scientists skeptical of the climate catastrophe predictions. Ridicule and character attacks are the primary "debate" tools used by left-wing climate change zealots.
Here's what climate evidence tells us, based on real data, not wild guess computer game predictions:
“It is not about whether CO2 is increasing: it clearly is. It is not about whether the increase in CO2, by itself, will lead to some warming: it should. The debate is simply over the matter of how much warming the increase in CO2 can lead to, and the connection of such warming to the innumerable claimed catastrophes. The evidence is that the increase in CO2 will lead to very little warming, and that the connection of this minimal warming (or even significant warming) to the purported catastrophes is also minimal. The arguments on which the catastrophic claims are made are extremely weak – and commonly acknowledged as such. They are sometimes overtly dishonest.”
