I just watched a five minute discussion on climate change on the Weather Channel, where almost every statement was preceded by the words "scientists say", as if that automatically makes the following statement 100% correct, and not subject to debate.

But every statement was either factually wrong, a wild guess, speculation, or actual data were presented in a deliberately misleading way by withholding important details, and/or withholding contrary data.

This disgraceful one-sided climate change propaganda was comparable to 1990s-era pro-government propaganda bragging about the economic progress in the former Soviet Union.

This very misleading presentation, and similar deliberate attempts to scare people about the climate by left-wing politicians, and their supporters, is why I write about the climate … which, in fact, is better than it has ever been in our lifetimes for humans, and much better for green plants.

The Weather Channel discussion was followed by an announcement that a later segment would discuss Earth's climate 35 years in the future, as if anyone on Earth has any idea what our planet's climate will be like even one year in the future.

Here are some important details the Weather Channel left out:
Based on studies of climate proxies, such as ice cores, there has been a mild warming trend since about 1850, commonly called the Modern Warming, which followed many centuries with an unusually cool climate.

The Weather Channel did not completely ignore the ice core studies -- they used ice core data only for estimates of historical CO2 levels, for which ice cores are inaccurate, without mentioning contradictory CO2 data from better sources: A 150-year record of over 90,000 CO2 measurements by the Pettenkofer method, from 1812 until 1961, shows much of the 19th century, and from 1935 to 1950, the atmospheric CO2 was higher than today.

But those real time CO2 measurements are completely ignored by all "warmists", who then falsely claim CO2 levels today are the highest in 800,000 years.

The Weather Channel failed to mention all real time measurements of the average temperature available today were compiled from data collected during that Modern Warming.

Surface measurements show only +1.5 degrees F. of warming from 1880 to 2015, and no warming at all in the past 12 to 18 years (al least until smarmy left-wing scientists later quietly "adjust" data from the past decade to show what they want to tell the public) .

One or two degrees of warming or cooling in 135 years is perfectly normal for our planet, but climate scaremongers will never tell you that fact.

They prefer to scare people with the grossly misleading fact that the past ten years were the hottest ten years on record.
.
They "forget" to mention only the inaccurate surface measurements show that -- the two independent compilations of more accurate NASA global weather satellite temperature data show there has been cooling since 1998.
.
They "forget" to explain "the record" includes no data at all for the prior 4.5 billion years (99.999% of Earth's history).
.
They "forget" to explain "the record" includes data collected only during a warming trend -- measuring only during a warming trend almost guarantees measurements in the past ten years will be the warmest ten years on record (until the warming trend ends, which it will).
.
Surface temperature measurements are not very accurate, so most, or all, of the measured warming since 1880 could be measurement errors.

Most of the "adjustments" to the raw surface data, which seem to be never ending, increase the warming trend … and then the raw data seem to get "lost", like Hillary Clinton's e-Mails … as if the "adjusters" want to hide their "adjustments".

If you studied the many opportunities for surface measurement errors, you would conclude that only satellite measurements, available since 1979, should be trusted.

Satellite data say Earth's average temperature went up from 1979 to 1998, and then went down after 1998.
.
That's not scary, so "warmists" just ignore the satellite data.
