My politics & opinions about President Trump

The next article starts with a
Donald Trump tweet
on climate change,
that I enjoyed,
because it made
leftists go berserk !

Readers at this
Honest Climate Chart Blog,
may assume I'm a Trump fan,
or at least a Republican,
because I refute the coming
climate catastrophe fairy tale.

I am neither one, and voted
for only one Republican,
in my entire life -- Ronald
Reagan in 1980.

As a libertarian since the
mid-1970's, I strongly favor
a less powerful government,
involved in fewer wars,
and more personal freedom.

In 1980 Reagan seemed to agree,
but spending kept going up,
and the national debt tripled
-- worse than the debt doubling,
during Obama's two terms !

Trump and Ms. Clinton
were both big government
candidates, so I supported
neither one, and also found it
embarrassing major political
parties thought they were the
best choices for President !

My summary of 25 years
studying the Clintons:
  They are so sleazy (Bill),
and dishonest (Hillary),
they made Trump's sleaze,
(with women too), and his
dishonesty (not paying
contractors when he doesn't
like their work), seem normal !

(1)
Trump reduced regulations:
- Good job.

(2)
Trump tax cut:
- Reckless deficit expansion
- Reckless lying about US
corporate taxes, which after
deductions, exemptions, and
tax havens, averaged under
20%*** BEFORE tax reform,
and were among the lowest
of developed nations,
when including value-added
taxes, paid by corporations
in EVERY OTHER developed
nation.

*** A 21% average based on
public reports to shareholders.
... but ... US profits reported
to the IRS are lower
than US profits reported
to the shareholders,
by using tax havens
to "offshore US profits",
so the taxes actually paid,
to the US Treasury,
in the four quarters to 3Q 2017,
averaged only 13% of the
US pre-tax profits
reported to shareholders.

(3)
Trump Administration staffing:
- 30% turnover is troubling
- Trump family members,
are not competent advisors.

(4)
$1 trillion infrastructure proposal:
- Reckless deficit expansion
- Obama's version in 2009,
was followed by only 2.2%
real GDP growth for next 7.5 years.

(5)
Nuclear North Korea:
- Obama didn't stop Iran from
getting nuclear weapons,
although thinks he did, and
Trump won't stop North Korea,
without starting a needless war.

Russia and China,
are violating UN sanctions,
knowing North Korea,
with a new oil shortage,
and a chronic food shortage,
would become desperate,
and more dangerous!

(5)
Trump's tweets:
- I don't read them unless
they get on the news,
but I love when they make.
Democrats go berserk,
especially the recent tweet
about global warming,
quoted in the next article !

I actually prefer politicians
hollering at, and investigating,
each other, because that reduces
the time available to invent
new ways to waste
taxpayers' money !

The best news for 2017
was not the stock market rise,
likely to be temporary,
or a small tax reduction.

The best news in 2017,
was women ramping up
public reporting of sexual
harassment and rape, like
never before, instead of
being ashamed and silent,
(like men who are raped
in prison).

The guilty men are finally
paying a price for harassment,
... but I hope the general public
realizes up to 25% of women,
who complain to HR
in the private sector,
exaggerate what happened,
or lie.

The right time to speak up
is immediately (but not just
before an election, when
politicians are involved,
because that is suspicious).

This is not a simple subject,
but victims remaining silent,
encourages more crime,
so we know for sure,
silence is the wrong answer.
