Yesterday our thermometer
in Bingham Farms, Michigan,
five miles north of
Detroit's northern border,
never reached 10 degrees F.
It was cold this morning too,
when I looked outside our
full length living room windows
at dawn, and instead of seeing
the usual deer wandering
through our yard, what I saw
was a frozen dead rabbit,
laying on top of the snow.
Our outside thermometer
finally reached 10 degrees F.
at 3pm. today.
Two days from now
it is supposed to reach
36 degrees F. at 3pm,
which will end the
coldest three-week period
I've experienced in Michigan
since moving here
from New York in 1977.
After many decades of
hoping for global warming,
I'm very disappointed
by the actual results
of the 42 years
of "global warming"
since 1975 !
We've lived in a small home,
in Bingham Farms, Michigan,
for thirty years, and
for the prior seven years,
we lived four miles south,
in a very large apartment,
bigger than our home !
Observing the climate
is very easy when living
in the same area
for many decades.
In memory of that poor
bunny rabbit this morning,
I've been inspired to write
this article summarizing
what I've learned
about climate politics
and climate science
from reading about
both subjects
every week since 1997.
This may be a good article

SUMMARY OF
THE REAL SCIENCE
AT THIS BLOG:

There is no scientific evidence
CO2 controls the average temperature
of our planet now, or ever has.
(2)
There is no scientific evidence
CO2 causes any harm,
and a lot of scientific evidence,
that adding CO2 to the air,
has been very beneficial:
Definitely greening our planet,
and probably making nights
slightly warmer.
(3)
There is no scientific evidence
CO2 could cause harmful warming,
and a small amount of evidence
doubling CO2 would cause mild,
harmless global warming,
of about +1 degree C.,
over the next 133 years,
(CO2 increasing 3 ppm per year),
or the next 200 years,
(CO2 increasing 2 ppm per year).

There is no scientific evidence,
adding CO2 to the air could
cause runaway warming,
ending all life on our planet,
and 4.5 billion years of evidence,
of no runaway warming,
despite CO2 levels
higher than today,
for almost the entire life
of our planet.

"Climate change" actually means,
adding CO2 to the atmosphere,
from burning fossil fuels,
will eventually cause runaway
global warming, that will end
all life on Earth ...
-- and that claim is a hoax.
Humans can not predict
the future climate,
and it is a second hoax
for anyone to claim they can.
Computer game
temperature predictions,
over the past thirty years,
are wild guesses,
not real science.
Real science requires data,
and computer outputs
are not data !
Especially computer outputs,
that predict the future climate,
which have been,
grossly inaccurate,
for thirty years,
predicting triple the warming
that actually happened.
Yet government bureaucrats,
make the same predictions,
year after year,
mainly because
that's exactly what
leftist politicians
pay them to predict.
Climate cult members
deliberately ignore
thousands of
REAL scientific studies,
(not worthless
computer models)
showing more
food production,
would result from
atmospheric CO2 levels
double to triple
the current level.
And if more CO2
also increased
the average temperature
by +1 or +2 degrees C.,
over hundreds of years,
that would extend
the growing season,
which would be
more good news!
DETAILS:
Haphazard measurements,
especially before
World War II,
tell us the average
surface temperature
of our planet
increased by
only +1 degree C.,
since 1880.
mainly at night,
in cooler climates.
Oh My God !!!
-- it's time to panic
-- sell your house
-- head for the hills
-- it's slightly warmer at night
than it was 137 years ago !
A reasonable margin of error,
of +/- 1 degree C.,
based on the accuracy
of MODERN measurement
instruments, means the
actual warming was somewhere
from 0 to +2 degrees.
Average temperature
data accuracy
is severely hindered by:
(1)
1800s 'starting point'
thermometers tend to read low,
versus modern thermometers,
exaggerating the long-term
warming trend,
(2)
Almost no Southern Hemisphere
data available before 1900,
(3)
Very little Southern Hemisphere
data available between 1900 and 1940,
(4)
Even today, believe it or not,
over half of Earth's surface,
divided into small grids,
have NO temperature data --
so the temperatures
for those grids
are wild guessed
by government bureaucrats
who want to see
a large amount of warming,
because they had been
predicting lots of warming
since the 1980s .. and no one
wants to be known for
wrong predictions !

More accurate alternate
measurement methodologies,
weather balloons,
and weather satellites,
match each other,
but both show
significantly less warming
than surface thermometers.
So they are ignored,
by the climate cult,
as if they don't exist.

Historical data,
are frequently "adjusted",
without adequate reasons,
but careful observers note
the frequent "adjustments"
consistently cool the past,
or warm current temperatures,
creating more global warming
out of thin air.
There were two periods
of global warming
during the 20th century,
from about 1910 to 1940,
and from about 1975 to 2000.

No one blames
the 1910 to 1940 warming
on man made carbon dioxide (CO2).
.
No one knows
what caused the
1975 to 2000 warming.
.
A good guess would be
the same unknown
natural cause as the
1910 to 1940 warming.
.
Even though the warming
from 1975 to 2000,
was almost identical
to the 1910 to 1940 warming,
some people blame it
on man made carbon dioxide.
.
By doing that,
they are claiming
4.5 billion years
of natural climate change
ended in 1975,
and CO2 suddenly became
the 'climate controller" !
No explanation
has ever been offered
to explain how or why
that allegedly happened
(because it did not happen).
I write "allegedly"
because there is
near zero evidence
in measured and proxy
temperature records,
that points to CO2,
as a "climate controller',
at any time in the past
4.5 billion years.
Almost all expected
signatures of CO2-caused
greenhouse warming
simply do not exist.
Greenhouse gas
warming signatures:
5 of the 6 did not happen !

Consistent warming,
at least in each decade,
as CO2 levels rose after 1940:

over the general public,

religious leaders.

Attention, money,
and political power
through the EPA and
other government agencies.

still in a warming trend,
that started in 1850,
which was definitely
not started by CO2.

It has also been warming
since the last ice age peaked
18,000 to 20,000 years ago,
also not started by CO2.
"Environmentalists"

character attack skeptics.
- They refuse to debate.
- They refuse to admit
they could be wrong.
- They have a "Pope"
with no science knowledge

and a secular "Bible"

in favor of climate astrology

It's now 8am Sunday morning,
January 7, 2018 and only
10 degrees F. outside.
I looked outside before
proofreading this article,
which will take me at least
four hours -- three hours
and 55 minutes of finding
other things to do -- and then
a five minute scan for those
squiggly red lines that indicate
the computer found an error.
I looked out to see if any birds were
drinking from our heated bird bath.
A large deer was drinking from
the bird bath, and eight more
female deer were standing
in the yard waiting for their turn.
They saw me 20 feet away,
standing at our living room
'wall of windows',
and just stared at me,
seeming to know
there was no way
I was going outside
barefoot, in a bathrobe,
at 10 degrees F.
to chase them away !
I went back to bed and
told the wife, a gardener
who hates deer, like all
gardeners do in our village !
She reminded me of when
we had 14 deer standing in
the yard, including 4 males
who didn't like each other,
and started to fight.
