Germany’s DWD
national weather office
has been keeping
temperature records
since 1881.
And Germany's mean
annual temperature
has gone up since 1881.
But Germany's temperature
had no increase from
about 1900 to 1990,
then suddenly shot up
almost instantly
by a full degree.
That’s not how CO2
is supposed to work.
For this sudden 1990 warming,
one scientist blamed DWD
for changing their measurement
station equipment, from mercury
thermometers, to electronic
thermometers, about that time.
A side-by-side comparison
of the old mercury, and new
electronic systems, showed
the electronic instrumentation
yielded results that were
a whole +0.9°C higher!
That alone could explain
the entire "instant warming"
happening at about 1990.
Perhaps there are other factors ?
The average amount of sunshine
over the past 28 years,
has been averaging
about +1°C warmer
than normal.
Also, over the past 20 years,
precipitation over Germany
has fallen a lot, which would
enhance warming.
The last decade has been
almost as dry as the
decades of the late 19th,
and early 20th, centuries.
The warming
of Germany
seems to have
little to do
with heat being
trapped by CO2,
and much more
to do with
changes in sunshine,
precipitation and
measurement
equipment !
Blaming warming on CO2,
while ignoring other causes,
is junk science !
