No prior
ten-year period
had more than 10.
Snow cover in the
Northern Hemisphere,
and North America,
has been increasing
since the 1960s
in the fall
and winter,
but declining
in the spring .
NOAA advised that
snow cover measurement
methodology changes,
at the turn of this century,
may be responsible
for part of the warm
season differences.
