is just "weather" ! 

First we found out the 

claimed new record 

French temperature 
of 45.9C was:

Measured on a roof

-- improperly sited 

instruments 

for honest data.

Roofs are hot !

“feels like” temperature
for the day, at that
particular station,
not the hottest 
actual temperature
at that station,
which was 
44.1 degrees C.

The 44.1 degrees C. 
at that weather station

happened to have tied 

the previous 2003 record 

for France.

It doesn't matter:

On the same day 

there were 10 other
French weather stations that 

beat the old 44.1 C. record.

But ... there appears to be 
another weather station with the 
same name a few blocks away.
that may have been the 45.9 C.
station ( although +1.8 degrees C.
warmer only a few blocks away 
seems very strange !

Hard to believe, but maybe,
because the other weather
station appears to be 
surrounded by 
buildings and asphalt,
and could have been the 
station for which the 
45.9 degrees is claimed
( records for that 
station were NOT 
found online, 
unlike the detailed
hourly records 
for the other nearby
weather station
with the same name ).

The most
important 
point is:

SO  WHAT ?

We’ve had intermittent 

warming on this planet 

for about 325 years.

Real-time 

temperature data 

were first collected 

DURING that 
warming trend.

Therefore, record highs 

are to be EXPECTED, 

until the warming trend ends.

Record highs are not news.

There is no logical reason 

to get all excited, and 

wave your arms around 

like a crazy person 

( like Democrat Robert Francis 

O’Rourke, when he talks ) !

Frequent new highs 

are EXPECTED, 

when all records 

are DURING 

a warming trend.

That's the definition

of a warming trend !

When the warming 

trend ends, 

we’ll stop seeing 

new “record highs”.

When will it end ?

Vostok ice core data 

revealed mild cycles

( of warming and cooling )

lasting many 

hundreds of years.

The correct answer is: 

No one knows 

when warming will end, 

and a multi-hundred year 

cooling trend will begin — 

it could start next week, 

or in hundreds of years.

And it doesn’t matter 

if the world gets a tenth

of a degree warmer 

in the next decade.

When our current mild

Holocene inter-glacial ends, 

and the world gets a lot colder, 

THAT will matter … and people 

will yearn for the good old days 

with those warmer winter nights

in Alaska (one of the biggest 

climate changes since 1975 !  )
