Australia Bureaucrats Cook the Temperature History Books ... because they can !

In early 2019 the Australian Bureau of Meteorology updated its ACORN dataset.

They arbitrarily increased Australia’s per decade rate of temperature warming since 1910 by +23%. 

I suppose they had predicted a lot of warming in Australia and not enough showed up ? 

ACORN 2 also arbitrarily changed the number of days at 40.0C or above, defined as “very hot days”, since 1910.

The record high average number of very hot days in 1952 within ACORN 1, was reduced by -24.1% in the new ACORN 2 dataset ... although the ACORN 1 averaged total for hot 1952 is still more than the ACORN 2 averaged total for hot 2018.
