Climate Rappin' -- I Predict The World is Not Going to End From Climate Change

My weekly / bi-weekly / monthly / whenever I'm in the mood / climate rap is whatever pops out of my head, or elsewhere, published as a first draft, with the spell checker turned off. I'm living dangerously, because nothing I say is politically correct.  I'm sure leftists will be disappointed.

There are people who believe climate change could cause civilizations to collapse. But the climate alarmists' "bible", which is the very biased United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report, does not contain any apocalyptic scenarios. I say "biased" because after 4.5 billion years of huge climate changes from natural causes, the IPCC decided natural causes of climate change were irrelevant. Their only goal was to blame climate change on humans, so the UN could become a one world government for energy and climate.

Controlling natural causes of climate change is impossible, but controlling humans is easy if you convince them to fear the future climate. Then you claim to need more political power to "save the planet for the children". It's all nonsense, but nonsense is common these days.

Listen to any political speech. Listen to the political television ads here in Michigan -- just generic platitudes, gross exaggerations of the candidate's past performance and horrible visions of our future if the opponent is elected. ... topped by blaming the Russians for any dirt found about the politician and/or his family. The climate change nonsense makes this climate science blog necessary.

Natural disasters are not getting worse.

There's plenty of time to adapt to sea-level rises of six to eight inches a CENTURY. That's been the average sea level rise since you were born, and there's no acceleration from "global warming" in the tide gauge data.

The Amazon is not the lungs of the world, and is not being destroyed.

The plastic floating in the oceans is a disgrace, but there's very little of it relative to the size of the oceans. It degrades in the sun, anyway.

We are not in a “sixth extinction” -- that's just a computer game programmed by someone with an overactive imagination.

There are more polar bears than ever before, since they have been counted. I have no idea how they are counted. But I know if there are more polar bears, there will be fewer seals, which are meals for polar bears. And why does anyone care about polar bears? Or count them? Just leave them alone! Save the seals!

Over the past 100 years, deaths from natural disasters have been falling.

Using fossil fuels to create plastics saves whales, turtles and elephants

Climate change emerged as the ideal subject for virtue signaling among elite white folks with college degrees.

Meanwhile, people of color in poor nations are desperate for cheap energy and modern chemicals for fertilizers. Without coal, they have to cut down trees and burn them for energy.  Poor nations need more energy to grow rich -- they are not going to leap from burning cheap wood and dung, all the way to expensive unreliable "renewables", without using fossil fuels first.

The attack on nuclear power is counterproductive, since it emits no carbon dioxide. There have been a few accidents, at Fukushima, Chernobyl and Three Mile Island, but very few deaths. There is no connection between nuclear power plants and nuclear weapons.

Wind and solar power are expensive, and so unreliable they need 100 percent fossil fuel backup.  Large scale battery storage would be extremely expensive. Wind turbones kill lots of insects, which attracts birds, who get shredded, which attracts larger birds, who get shredded too.

I'm tired of high profile, high energy use, Hollywood celebrities lecturing others to use less energy. Wealthy people in wealthy nations consume large amounts of energy.

Environmentalism became a secular religion in the 1960s.  If you don't follow the "rules," then you will wind up in "hell". That may sound like a traditional religion, but with climate change there's no traveling to get to hell. In the climate alarmists' imaginations, our planet will become "hell". Environmentalism is an opportunity to "save the world" and become a hero. And never mind that the world does not need saving.
